On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank you for joining the College and showing your support to build a united community (Belonging) of pilots of all backgrounds with the vision of becoming a self-governing profession with real influence over our quality of life (Advocacy) and over government and other stakeholders' policies that affect our profession (Stewardship). We have much work yet to be done and all members can help in the effort. You have already assisted us simply by joining and by providing us with your registration fee. Your money will be used wisely and transparently in our efforts to build this organization. When we reach our goal of representing all Commercial Pilots in Canada, we will be the first association in the world to do so.

To date we have developed project teams for Communication, Regulatory/Government (Foreign Workers, Jump Seats, Security Screening, PICUS, Medicals, etc.), Flight School Outreach (assisting in bridging the gap between the current CPL/Multi-IFR graduate and what air operators require as line pilots), Mentorship, amongst other tasks we envision the College getting involved with.

We are actively soliciting members with backgrounds in specific areas of expertise so they may use their special knowledge and skills to build on what has already been started.

The College intends to create opportunities for industry experts to share their knowledge and experiences with the express goal of creating best practices models and reference material pertaining to:

• advances in flight training techniques, crew resource management, threat error management, simulation technology and aircraft in-flight instruction;
• the technical aspects and scientific examination of the human aspect of flight operations, aircraft and human performance;
• programs for alcohol and substance abuse, critical incident response protocols and other support;
• maintenance of professional standards through education and effective mentoring;
• financial aid, scholarships, bursaries and promotional efforts to encourage new aviation professionals.

The College is working on many unique and beneficial programs specifically for Canadian pilots, these take time and need volunteer power. As progress is made, we will be alerting you to our developments through this website.
